ANDREW WALKER, REGIONAL MANAGER FOR VIETNAM AND INDONESIA

Andrew Walker is a chartered Civil Engineer with some 30 years broad experience in design, construction and project management of infrastructure projects in the United Kingdom, Indonesia and Malaysia. He is currently responsible for development of business in Vietnam and Indonesia generally and for port development projects in SE Asia in particular.

Andrew has been working in Indonesia and Malaysia for over 25 years and was initially involved with the design and construction supervision of a general cargo port and then a major container port development in Surabaya. He then spent over 12 years as Director and General Manager of a British-Indonesian joint venture Engineering Consulting company based in Jakarta. He was responsible for setting up the company and developing it to carry out projects from a locally generated national and international client base.

Andrew has particular technical experience in all aspects of large infrastructure projects development, having been involved in a number of marine projects (reclamation, jetties, onshore facilities), urban and industrial developments, highways and commercial developments. He has managed teams comprising both expatriate and local staff and has completed assignments at all stages of the project development cycles.
