Scott Wilson in Vietnam
The company has worked continuously on projects in Vietnam since 1994, when a major review of the country's road network, funded by the UK Government, was undertaken. A permanent Representative Office was opened in Hanoi in 1995, since when a full range of transportation and environmental projects have been undertaken, primarily in the aid sector, e.g. ADB, World Bank, DfID, etc. With growing private sector investment in the country, it was decided to open a Representative office in Ho Chi Minh City in 2007. Activities in Vietnam are fully supported by the Scott Wilson Group, and the offices are integral parts of the Group's Southeast Asian operation, which is administered from Kuala Lumpur. Significant technical support in building and maritime engineering is provided from the Bangkok office.
Since establishment of a representative office in Hanoi, Scott Wilson is fully committed to the development of the country and has developed good relationships with executing agencies and local consultants.
To date, Scott Wilson has undertaken over 30 projects for both the public and private sectors in engineering environmental protection and institutional strengthening.
